Her, Kelly, Kimberely, Clay, Diana, LaToya, Jennifer and Vonzell are the best of all of the seasons. Tamyra, i think, is the best of all of them... I constantly watch her performances on youtube and they still blow me away... She was just overrall the best contestant. She has the best, most powerful voice with the greatest range and control that I have ever heard with the exception of Ella Fitzgerald. Tamrya can belt out the high notes flawlessly and also has a fantastic, throaty, deep voice as did Ella. Yes, I am old enough to have seen and heard Ella Fitzgerald perform! Tamrya can sing anything--balads, lively songs, pop, R&B, jazz. It doesn't matter, she does them all well. Tamyra is also one of the prettiest Idol contestants ever. When she was on Jay Leno's show, Jay could not stop saying, "you are really pretty". No fooling!!! She is humble, down-to-earth and likeable. It is a shame that her recording career has not taken off. I attribute that to her crummy label (19) and to the fact that on her first album she wrote all of her own material. I admire that. To me, writing their own material is what puts artists like Elton John, Alicia Keys and even Willie Nelson on the map as stars. I just think one has more passion in singing one's own works. However, the producers of her albums may well prefer that she perform other things than her songs. Her only weakness is that she is not comfortable dancing and moving around the stage. Thus, her live performances tend to be a bit stiff. She is an amazing actress and singer and you should hear her album "The Dreamer." It is absolutly amazing. I can't wait for her new movies and new album to drop!!
