Sep 17, 2006 09:51 PM ET Reviewed by: erinjackson Mandisa really was the best female singer on Season Five. She had an unbelievably powerful voice and could belt out a song effortlessly! She really should have stayed much longer than she did, but it was her poor song choice and religious views, that got her eliminated too early. I actually thought she would have stayed on country week because I remember earlier in the semi-finals when she did a great rendition of Faith Hill's 'Cry', which is a very difficult song to sing. Even though I did not like her song choice on country week, I really thought she should have made it to at least the Top 4 or 5. I was a litte concerned about the catergory that rates a persons physical attractiveness. What is this based on? Isn't this relative to who is doing the voting? What standard are we to use? She has the voice and presence of Queens of Soul, Kings of Rock, Funk Gods, etc. People you go to see in concert to see and talk about for years to come. She has gotten past all obstacles in her way to prove herself. Nothing holds her down, and that is truly amazing!
