The first time I noticed, well origanaly was when she sang I'll Never Love This way again. In Hollywood. But It really showed off in Come Rain Or Come Shine. Beutiful gleam in her eyes. Favriot: Over The Rainbow. Judy Garland. Least: Against All Odds. Phil Collins. Keep going though Katherine. She's constantly smiling when she performs, which leaves the viewer feeling cold. Although she emoted feelings well in "Somewhere over the rainbow," in general, she doesn't emote feeling too well in other soft songs, so she scores low there. Her range isn't all the best because she sings too sharp and sounds scratch when singing high. She does have power though. Also, she smiles and bounces without regards to the meaning of her songs, which makes her performances seem disjointed between lyric, melody, and her personal presence... just as great as pres. bush! She is lovely to look at and seems to consistently sing well. I fear she lacks the "WOW" factor that will take her through to the end, but she is definetly in my top 6 favorites overall. I'd like to see her "relax" a little bit, sing as much from her heart as she sings from her head, something I think quite a few of this years "kids" could learn from Mandisa, Taylor and Chris.
