That voice of his is a magnificent instrument, with probably the greatest potential of any American male voice today, even though his recordings so far show that Elliott doesn't always know what to do with it. The fact that he is 90% hearing loss in his right ear is just throwing me for a loop. He had a few rough performances but I think he was overall great. My favriot: A song for you. Least: On Broadway. So basically he's vocally all-around pretty good. 'Emotes feeling:' Good - not nearly as much as Taylor but good. 'Pizzazz, Flair, and Energy:' Not nearly as much as Taylor. 'Own Style:' Eh ok. 'Stage Presence:' Not nearly as much as Bo Bice. 'Appeal, Charm, Charisma:' Ok appeal - the guy's sensitive. 'Physically Attractive:' I don't know who's uglier - Taylor or Elliot. He doesn't have the best sounding voice, but he's got lots of control so he scores well with control. He's not the best looking of course, Katharine has most people beat. I think Elliot is my underdog project of this years competition because I think he has so much to offer and so little time to get it done. He has a pure and true voice, he is certainly a little on the naive side and very humbled to even be part of the final 12. I would love to see him really start singing fully from his heart, see his self confidence blossom and I'm waiting on one of those WOW performances that I know he has in him that will really make America stand up and say "WHERE did THAT come from, I mean we knew he was good, but that was AWESOME". Its in there folks... give it time. I fear that his not as sexy appearance will hinder him in this contest as much of America votes for eye candy instead of talent. Again, a reminder that this is a SINGING CONTEST and folks, Elliot CAN AND DOES do it well.
