Clay was destined to be winner season 2, we just forgot to vote for him, or did we? I won't go into the whole voting controversy from that season. Did Ruben deserve to win, sure, but Clay deserved it even more. His performances seem a little stale now, but at the time all us Claymates were so overwhelmed by his rich voice that we couldn't wait to see what he'd do next.

I sometimes find the theater-habits in Clay's vocal arsenal a bit grating, but the strength and richness of his voice are undeniable. Even after 9 years, "Solitaire" is among the best AI performances of all time.

Clay Aiken has a voice in a million, his range and pureness is one of a kind. He can sing anything and his voice ajustes to the song. He should have won , but I mean that with respect, the season he was on had the best voices ever on Idol. He has lasting power and will last a long long time...my only disapointment is that he does not have enough original music written for him, the one song he wrote the words to was fantastic.

His voice has unsurpassed power, range, clarity, and tone. He connects well with the audience and puts a lot of emotion into his singing. I love that he enunciates so well; I cannot stand a mush-mouth singer! He has a great sense of humor and doesn't take himself too seriously. He also has a commanding and appropriate stage presence -- something which other "idols" could use a lot of! Like I said. Simply the best.

I think Clay Aiken gave excellent performances every week he was on Idol. I think Bridge Over Troubled Water Was by far the best Idol performance ever on the show. I also think, To Love Somebody,Unchained Melody,Build Me Up Butter and Solitaire were also out standing.With the exception of a little blurb at the very end of Somewhere Out There on movie night, Clay never missed a note.Clay's voice, range, stage presence, have never again been matched on Idol.

Clay has it all, he is gorgrous, sexy, he has become a real hunk of a man and yet he still has this wonderful little boy quality about him. Clay had a great stage presence as a person, but he had no idea how to move and act on the stage. He also didn't have the lower registry which is why he didn't even win his SEASON against Rueben Studdard.. The big guy wasn't better on a one-on-one matchup, but pure quality week after week he slowly beet up Clay, plus he had a good, lovable personality.

If someone hasn't seen Clay since AI then they have no idea what a performer he is. Clay live will surprise you. His voice control, power and his sense of music is outstanding. His rapport with his audience is something I've rarely seen and I've seen more concerts by more artists than I can count. I'm a rock and roll kind of girl and he can rock out like nobody else. One of a kind!

Clay has his fans, no doubt. I personally think American Idol should be about over the top talent, originality and presence. I never "felt" Clay's presence. Other contestants since have had undeniable talent, overwhelming charisma and presence AND made the song their own.

I wanted to give Clay a 10 on everything but since I figure nobody can be considered perfect I gave him 9.5 ratings. He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and his performances are breathtaking. Mix that with his wonderful heart and you have the most amazing singer in the world as far as I am concerned.

Clay Aiken certainly has some devoted fans. I just don't "get" it. He has a nice enough voice, but he does absolutely nothing for me. There's just nothing there: no sex appeal, no charisma. Technically proficient singing, sure. Nice guy? Definitely. But not exciting or original. A lot like Anwar from this season. I much preferred his singing on Idol to his CD, Measure of a Man.

Clay has his fanbase and I'll admit he's good at what he sings BUT there is better talent out there (as we have recently seen) and MUCH easier on the eyes guyz with the superstar charisma and sex appeal that Clay lacks. Simon was right in saying LOOKS MATTER!

Clay is the only artist that I have ever seen that can take any song and make it better than the original. Can't give him 10's in everything because he is ever evolving and I want to be sure to leave him room to do that. He is fearless and has confidence in his ability without being cocky. His heart knows no bounds and I am so proud of all he has accomplished as a performer and a humanitarian. Am looking forward to whatever he brings in the future because I know it will be great.

I wasn't even watching the show, when I first heard him. The voice got my attention. After that, I was tuning in each week to see what songs he would choose and to see how well he would do throughout the competition. It was disappointing that I could not get my votes in on finals night. In my opinion, there has been none as talented as Clay in the last two years.
