Chris Daughtry should have definitely been this year's American Idol, if not the runner-up to Taylor. Chris had an amazng rock voice and could make non-rock songs like 'I Walk the Line' sound terrific. Technically, he is a better singer than Taylor, Bo, and Constantine. I was so mad when he got voted off and I really hope he comes out with a CD soon! As Simon said: "Thanks to Chris!"

I did not like Chris. I felt he was the most overrated of the season. He had limited vocal talents, i didn't not like many of his performances (as in, i mostly changed the channel), although i was extremely suprise at his departure from AI5, i was sure kat was going home, but i am glad he took her place... and people are still upset over his elimination??!

Chris has an amazing voice, and by far had the best stage presence of anyone this season. He owns the stage and the songs he sings.

I personally thought that its good he doesnt have idol contract to tie him down, but he is the number 2 idol for season 5, at least in my eyes. He has his niche, and he delivers his performances well.

Chris's main advantage is the genre where his comfort zone lies. He's a good singer (when he doesn't push his voice too much) but he doesn't sound any different from the usual crop of frontmen from today's "rock" bands.

'Voice Clarity:' He has a deep sort of clear voice. Not the cleanest but way cleaner than Taylor's. 'Voice Range:' He won't go that high but he does start from a lower range so he does have decent range. Not the best range of course though. 'Voice Power:' He always had good power. 'Voice Control:' Chris, Elliot, and Taylor always had good control. Never tried to sing out of their range. (But maybe Elliot did occasionally.) 'Emotes Feeling:' He can. Get him to do a soft song, he can do it reasonably well. 'Pizzazz, Flair, & Energy:' Yeah - pretty good. 'Own Style:' For the most part yeah. But his rock style sounds similar to what's already out there, hence can't give him a '10.' 'Stage Presence:' Yes - definitely. Not the greatest, but yes. 'Charm, Appeal, Charisma:' Yes, somewhat. 'Physical Attractiveness:' You have to knock him for his bald head but yeah - he ok. 'Most outstanding performances:' Yes and no. Yes, but he also engaged in rock songs that noone knew, so no.

Chris Daughtry is one of those Idol contestants who dares to be himself, and it pays off. He has a very unique voice and image and refuses to compromise. Chris Daughtry is one of American Idol's best talents ever and will surely go very far in his career.

I believe that Daughtry is one of the best contetants of any season of American Idol. His ability to consistantly outdo every other singer on the show is amazing, especially if you consider some of the cheesey artists he has been forced to cover on theme nights.

Chris has a great voice. He sings each song without any problems, the only thing he lacks is charisma. He needs a little more personality to show up when he performs. He is nice looking. I like him better without the sideburns and day old beard look. He would make any rock band proud to have them as their lead singer. Chris rocks!

Chris could be American Idol #5. He's great at adjusting his song strategies each week. He doesn't have the best voice - but he does have presence. I'm not convinced that I would buy one of his cd's knowing what his song preferences are. His cd audience may be limited. However, I do think that his live concerts would do very well. Best of luck to him and his family!

I dislike hard rock but Chris' performances have been superb. Though he lacks the range of many, within his range his showmanship is outstanding. Too many time he has give the rest of the men something to think about and he seems to be doing it naturally. I like his voice though not the clearest or cleanest. It is a quality that many including Springstein share.

Chris is one of my favorites. He is so entertaining on stage. When he performs you get so drawn to the tv, as with other performers I tend to get bored. Chris is so talented and he brings a unique quality to the competetion.

I enjoy this young man very much! Chris comes across as a very real, very down to earth guy who is grateful to be living a dream on American Idol. He seems unpretentious, yet very dedicated to getting out there and doing his best every week. I also believe that no matter what happens to him in the upcoming weeks that he will cheer for, and root for every other contestant on the show. I honestly hope that he is voted as the winner this season. When I vote for these "kids", I'm pushing 50 so they are all kids to me, I look for vocal talent of course, but I also look for someone that I feel can handle the extreme lifestyle change that being an American Idol will bring to them. Someone who will make me proud that my small vote counted in some way to bring a well deserved person a dream, and someone who will appreciate the gift God gave them. I think Chris has all of these attributes.. just a really well rounded, stable, likable young gentleman!

I've really been enjoying Chris so far on AI5 - ever since his audition he's been singing and performing great. I think he needs to show his charisma a little bit more, but he's really got a good voice and I think he will do well despite whatever happens on the show. I look forward to more of his performances.
