Bo looks like he was born on stage with the laid back ease of someone who has been doing this for a long time and never tires of it. His "Within A Dream" A Capella performance had to be the best performance ever on American Idol and was a gutsy move. If the voters did not have such short term memories they would have remembered that performance as well as his other 2 performances the week before when voting for a winner. Bo has that personality that makes you feel like you've known him for years when you've never met him. Although I really wanted him to win I feel he will be better off in second place and will have more control over his album and sing his style of songs rather than those pitiful songs AI had written for the finale, even the judges didn't like them! I loved his performances, and I love his sound, but I also like to know the lyrics and when Bo sings, I don't usually. This may be due to his mumbly growly rock style or to the songs he chooses with which I am not familiar. When he sang "Time in a Bottle" I realized that he does actually have a beautiful voice whose sound I love. I am not a great fan of the long hair, scruffy style, but it is who Bo is I guess. I fully intend to buy whatever Bo puts out in terms of a first album and if it suits me, will buy others. Whether or not I attend a concert will depend on the style of concert and venue where it is held. I am not sure I want to attend a full blown rock concert. Bo is my favorite contestant this season, and I am certainly going to keep voting in hopes that he will win. He was born to be a musician, and everything he does falls in place around that. His vocals are very similar to Gregg Allman's and he seems right at home with the sound of Lynryd Skynyrd, the Outlaws, Blackfoot, or any number of great southern rockers. He does have a problem when going outside of his comfort zone, the choice of "Vehicle" for a 70's dance song is evident of that. It rocked, but it wasn't a dance song. I love his energetic performances and you can tell this man loves being on the stage. He won't win, this will be Carrie's Coronation, but he will probably be better off in the long not saddled with that stifling contract from AI. I will be more than happy to purchase his first CD. Many people have complained that he doesn't have much of a range, and that is true. But it doesn't matter, as long as he does great things with the range that he DOES have. His strength comes from his ability to put REAL feeling and emotion into a song. He has that undefinable "soul" and is also a consummate performer with confidence and just seems like he has been a star all his life. My hope is that he will bring on a resurgance of the best kind of rock n' roll! His voice control is terrific, his stage presence is solid. He doesn't have the best voice, and he's knows that, so he never "over reaches" like what other contestants mistakenly do.
